A sheltered entrance. A seat beside a window. A shared room that still leaves somewhere to retreat. These are the everyday qualities that guide the projects in this collection.
The architectural language is restrained, but never indifferent to its setting. Cedar, stone, brick and timber take on different roles from one study to another. What connects them is the attention given to proportion, thresholds and the meeting of materials.
